Teaching Personnel is working closely with a client School that is based in Acomb, York, that caters for Primary aged children with a range of additional and complex needs. The School has 15 classes, with between 4 and 10 students in the class, alongside a main class teacher and 3-4 additional Support Staff. The School provides an education for students that have a vast range of SEN, which includes Autism, Non-Verbal, PMLD, SLD and Physical Disabilities. Although the students are up to 11 years old, most of the classes follow a tailored lesson plan, according to the EYFS curriculum.
If you have undertaken any CPD courses, such as Moving and Handling, Team Teach or PILLARS, Autism Awareness or Safeguarding, be sure to mention this on your CV! Daily rates of pay are competitive and for this particular School, ranges from GBP65 to GBP75 per day.
