Head of Year - Bolton

Due to a member of staff gaining promotion, our client Secondary Academy located in the Horwich area of Bolton wish to appoint a permanent Head of Year from September 2019. Our client school is an Ofsted 'Good' rated Secondary Academy with an excellent reputation.

  • Full-time Head of Year position from September 2019 in Bolton
  • Non teaching role, responsible for pastoral
  • Earn up to £85 per day, dependent on experience
  • Experience of a similar position desirable
  • Manage the responsibility of a large year group

Applicants wishing to be considered for this opportunity:

  • Will have previous experience of a role with similar responsibilities including leading and managing areas such as a Key Stage 3/4
  • Must be able to encourage and enthuse students to achieve their full potential and be inspirational to both colleagues and students
  • Must be confident cooperating with senior staff as well as a large group of teachers/teaching assistants

Our client Academy has been noted for their welcoming staff community and culture over the last few years. With over 1700 pupils, the academy is in need of an experienced Head of Year who can manage the responsibility of a large year group. This is a non-teaching head of year role where the successful applicant will be responsible for promoting the well-being of all in a year group therefore, dealing with behaviour management, pupils and parents as well as pastoral issues ranging from bullying to pupil absences.

Our client Academy is located in Bolton and is accessible via the M61 from surrounding areas such as Bury and Wigan. For non-drivers, the academy can be accessed via several public transportation links from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
