We are seeking an inspirational and experienced Head of Social Sciences Faculty to lead our dedicated team of educators. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of the faculty, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, and promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Social Sciences Faculty, including subjects such as History, Geography, Sociology, and Psychology.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the faculty that aligns with the school’s overall goals.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across the faculty.
- Support and mentor faculty members, providing professional development opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture within the faculty.
- Liaise with senior leadership, parents, and external agencies to support student success.
- Ensure compliance with relevant educational policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Social Sciences.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a secondary school setting.
- Excellent knowledge of Social Sciences curriculum and best practices.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and academic excellence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
