Do you have professional Hair & Beauty experience and the confidence to share your skills with young people who benefit from a more practical and supportive approach to learning?

Teaching Personnel is looking for an experienced Hair & Beauty Tutor to work every Monday within a specialist SEND education setting in Sherborne. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys their industry but would also like to use their knowledge to inspire and develop young people.

What Will You Be Doing?

You will deliver two Hair & Beauty sessions each Monday, working with small groups of up to six students per session. The smaller group sizes allow you to build positive relationships, provide individual guidance and keep students actively involved.

• Delivering practical and engaging Hair & Beauty sessions.
• Demonstrating techniques safely and clearly.
• Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence and employability skills.
• Adapting activities for different abilities and additional needs.
• Creating a calm, inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable participating.
• Working alongside education staff to support each learner effectively.

The Person We Need

We are particularly interested in someone with strong Hair & Beauty knowledge and previous experience supporting or teaching young people.

Experience within SEND, SEMH or an alternative education environment would be highly beneficial. You will need to be confident working independently and capable of hitting the ground running from your first session.

You do not need to deliver to a large classroom. With only six students in each session, the focus is on quality, engagement and practical development.
