Teaching Assistant needed in Kirklees, opportunity to work as a teaching assistant in a modern and well facilitated Batley Secondary school.

Required at our client through school in Batley, experienced and qualified youth work teaching assistant to support students for varying backgrounds including those from LAC, 'At Risk' and vulnerable groups, ensuring they are able to fully access education during their time at school.

- Full time position working as youth work teaching assistant in Batley

- Provide additional support to students who need strong role models

- Earn up to £300 as a Youth Work teaching assistant

- Ideal for enthusiastic graduates looking to gain experience

Our client school is a through school which has comprises of both a primary phase and secondary phase in the heart of Batley, a short drive from the city with solid public transport links. Staff and students can benefit from a supportive senior leadership team including a specialised learning support unit for students to work away from mainstreams lessons.

At this Secondary Grammar School we aim to identify, encourage and develop the talents and qualities of each pupil to their full potential and help to prepare them for adult life as confident, independent and respectful members of a caring multicultural society. The school pride themselves on providing a stimulating learning environment that is full of opportunity and caters for the needs of all children and young people from Foundation Stage through to GCSE.

Requirements for youth work teaching assistants;

* Degree specialising in Youth Work, Childhood Studies or Community Service or similar subject

* Previous experience supporting young people aged 11- 16 in educational setting

* The ability to build rapport with students who may have barriers to learning

This secondary school is easily assessable via the M62 with great public transport links. I work with this secondary school on a regular basis with a number of different teachers being involved throughout the school from the Primary phase up to the secondary phase.
