Graduates - Sunderland
Are you a recent graduate looking to pursue a career working with young people? Do you consider yourself to be compassionate and helpful? If you have experience supporting 11-18 year olds-whether that be in your personal or professional life-we may have your next role.
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of schools in Sunderland, which are consistently in need of individuals able to provide classroom support. The main criteria required for these roles are confidence, a can-do attitude and the willingness to help others.
You can expect to take on roles such as the following:
- Teaching Assistant-working with small groups and individual students, helping them with their classwork. This can sometimes entail working alongside pupils with SEN
- Cover Supervisor-supervising classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring that behaviour doesn't escalate and that work is completed. This is a particularly great role for future teachers
- Tuition/1:1/ intervention-utilising subject knowledge from your degree to provide additional support for students who are struggling in the lead up to their exams
When you work alongside us, you will benefit from the following features:
- Regular, flexible work
- Access to a vast range of classroom-based experience, which looks highly desirable on applications for teaching roles
- Opportunities for ongoing training through our CPD academy, where you will work with teachers from 'Outstanding' Catholic schools
- Access to the Catholic Schools Recruitment Partnership through the Hexham-Newcastle diocese
If you are interested in being considered for this role, or to find out about any other opportunities we may have please get in touch with Leyla on 0191 223 5071 or via email at
