Are you graduating in Summer 2019 or hold a Bachelors Degree?

Are you looking for a route into Secondary Teaching? Do you want paid work experience?

Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with an Outstanding Teaching Alliance in the Wakefield area to put suitable plans in place for September 2019. Working alongside Teaching Personnel's Future Teacher programme we have a number of Graduate Teaching Assistant positions based in a number of partner schools across Wakefield. We are looking for ambitious Graduates who are seeking to develop a career in teaching and education. With this 12 month role you would be prepared and mentored prior to starting on the school direct teacher training programme from September 2020.

The programme is designed in partnership with Teaching Personnel. The successful graduates will complete 12 months (Academic year) working within a number of secondary schools completing a range of roles including Supporting Teachers in class, leading small groups in your specialist subjects, monitoring pupil progress and attainment and reporting to class teachers. Upon completing the initial 12 month position the Graduates will then start on the school direct teacher training at one of the partnered schools with the view to becoming an outstanding Teaching.

- Graduate Teaching Assistant, Full time position (September 2019 - August 2020)

- Set placement in one Secondary School in preparation for teacher training

- Induction process available prior to September with regular training opportunities

- Train to become a secondary teacher in a nationally recognised, outstanding teaching school

- All degree subjects considered

To be considered it is essential that you have either achieved or be working towards your Bachelors degree. Previous experience in schools or working with 11+ age groups would be beneficial, however this is not essential. To gain a position on this scheme please apply ASAP. After the initial application successful graduates would have an interview and a meeting with the Teaching school.
