Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain experience in secondary schools around Salford?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a number of graduates who are seeking roles within secondary schools. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain paid experience in a variety of roles and across a range of different settings.

  • Full-time work in secondary schools (Part-time also available for perfect candidates)
  • Range of different roles available
  • Earn between ÂŁ270 and ÂŁ350 a week depending on experience and role
  • Gain invaluable experience from colleagues
  • Be assigned to a department (linked to your degree)

Registering with Teaching Personnel as a graduate will allow you to undertake a number of roles in a secondary school setting including being a Teaching Assistant, intervention work and potentially supervising lessons. As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students on both a 1:1 basis as well as small group scenarios. These students may have SEND needs or display challenging behaviour and your role will be to support them throughout their lessons to ensure they fulfil their potential.

Some of the work you may undertake may be intervention scenarios, where you support students who have been identified as underperforming in certain subjects through extra tuition. Students are usually withdrawn from other subjects and supported in short interventions sessions with the aim of improving both progress and attainment.

Finally, you can work as a Cover Supervisor, delivering pre-planned in the absence of the class teacher as well as ensuring the school's behaviour policy is thoroughly being followed. All of these roles will help to prepare those candidates that are considering a PGCE or Teacher Training course in the future.

If you would like to apply to work in Secondary schools across the Salford LEA, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
