Graduate - Work in schools

Are you a recent graduate and have aspirations of moving in to a career in teaching? Teaching Personnel work with a number of secondary schools across the Oldham area, and as such have a number of opportunities to gain experience working in a secondary setting. Working with Teaching Personnel will give you the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant, cover supervisor and exam invigilator in a number of different secondary schools.

- Work as a cover supervisor, teaching assistant in your local secondary schools

- Flexible approach to working, covering fixed term requirements or ad hoc days

- Earn up to £65 per day dependant on role and experience

- Own transport or willingness to travel via public transport required

Working through Teaching Personnel as a casual supply worker is an excellent way to gain paid experience in secondary education prior to you starting a teacher training programme next academic year. We'd like to hear from any graduates considering teaching, or those who have already secured a place on a PGCE or similar in the upcoming academic year.

The work ranges from providing general classroom support as a teaching assistant, delivering revision and booster sessions to individual or groups of students in your subject specialism or working as a cover supervisor, which involves covering a lesson in the absence of a member of teaching staff. The work Teaching Personnel can offer is on a flexible, day-to-day basis or in block placements for weeks/terms.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
