Graduate Tutor - Oldham

Are you a recent graduate looking to support secondary school students with their studies?

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside one of our partner schools in Oldham who would like a motivated and inspirational graduate to join them from September 2019 to support a number of identified students. This is a good opportunity to gain invaluable experience of working within a successful and supportive secondary school.

  • Flexible working opportunities (both full time and part time available)
  • 'Good' secondary school in Oldham
  • Applications welcomed from all graduates (especially Maths and English)
  • Earn up to £1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable experience

Our partner secondary school is based in the Greenfield area of Oldham, and has an intake of over 1300 students from the surrounding villages of Delph, Denshaw and Diggle. As an Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school it has a fantastic reputation within the local community and is a popular school of choice for parents with the school currently being oversubscribed.

"Exam results are traditionally some of the best locally however, everyone at our school is focussed on improving formal outcomes for children whilst also ensuring that they feel valued and cared for. We are committed to ensuring that we continue to improve results here, and therefore we are looking for a graduate to support a group of identified students throughout the year." Headteacher.

As a graduate tutor at our partner school, you will be running 1:1 and small group tuition sessions to students that have been identified as falling behind in their studies and needing extra support, as well as those students that are on the key grade borderlines such as Grades 4/5 and Grades 6/7 in an attempt to stretch and challenge them as much as possible. You will be placed in the department of your specialism.

If you would like to apply for this post please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
