Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role in a Secondary school?

Teaching Personnel work alongside a large number of Secondary schools in the South Tyneside area who are regularly looking for graduates to join their team. As schools are embarking on their new academic year, many schools find themselves with requirements for Teaching Assistants due to an unexpected need for extra support in classrooms.

Teaching Assistant roles are the ideal fit for graduates thinking of going onto a teacher training course but who require additional experience prior to this. These types of roles can also fit around undergraduate candidates who are looking for experience ahead of graduation.

  • Full-time roles available alongside flexible, day to day work.
  • Opportunity to work in several Secondary schools across Salford with excellent links to CPD training.
  • Earn up to GBP300 per week, depending on previous experience.
  • Support students who require additional support within subjects such as English and Maths.
  • Opportunity to work alongside students who have SEN or behavioural difficulties.
  • Any experience with children or young people is desirable alongside any transferrable skills to work within the educational sector.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside children who require additional support including children with learning or behavioural difficulties.
  • Working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within subjects such as English, Maths or Science.
  • Helping to plan and deliver intervention sessions to raise pupil attainment alongside promoting positive behaviour management.

Our client schools are located in and around the area of South Tyneside area, but we also have clients in Gateshead, Durham and Sunderland. Access to your own transport would be ideal, as many of our schools book on the morning of the day they require support.
