Graduate Teaching Assistant
South Manchester

  • Salary: up to £1300 per month

Teaching Personnel are looking for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join our Future Teachers Programme in September 2019. The Future Teachers programme is a year long programme designed to support recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain practical paid experience before enrolling in formal teacher training. Graduates will be assigned a teacher mentor and will receive ongoing support throughout the programme.

Successful graduates will be introduced to our client school located in South Manchester and will work onsite in the department of their subject specialism. We welcome applications from recent graduates of Science, Maths, English, Languages and Humanities. Throughout the placement, graduates will undertake a variety of tasks and activities to give a good understanding as to the role of a teacher. Roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and preparation of department resources and lesson plans
  • Offer in class subject specialist support and deliver small group interventions
  • Covering lessons in the short term absence of teachers
  • Supporting students with Special Educational Needs
