“We are looking for a graduate Teaching Assistant who is experienced in supporting students aged 11 - 14 in any setting and looking to progress further into the education sector. The successful graduate will be working alongside teaching and support staff at our highly supportive secondary school, providing support to students at KS3. Focussing primarily on the core subjects of Maths and English, any graduates with either relevant degree specialisms or a natural flare for Literacy and Numeracy and encouraged to show their interest by applying now”

Our client secondary school situated in the South Manchester area is looking for a graduate who can fulfil the role of a Teaching Assistant and is able to start with them in September as schools look to fully reopen to all students. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience within a secondary school environment on a full-time basis supporting students in the lower ability sets of Maths and English. The students that require further support have been identified as being behind their peers with regards attainment levels and as a result, funding has been allocated for a graduate Teaching Assistant to work alongside these students for the period a term.

Supporting from September for the Autumn term at least, the successful graduate Teaching Assistant should have existing experience of working with individuals aged 11 - 14 in a previous setting. This experience could be from a prior role supporting at a secondary school or teaching/tutoring at a tutor club or any other relevant setting.

  • Full time graduate Teaching Assistant required: September 2020 - December 20 in the first instance
  • Provide support in Maths and English
  • Prior experience is necessary of supporting and working with students aged 11 - 14
  • Highly supportive senior leadership team
  • Opportunity to earn up to GBP1400 per month

Any graduates who have a degree in Maths or English based subjects are highly encouraged to apply now as subject knowledge is a key aspect of this support role.

This secondary school is situated in the South Manchester area specifically close to Wythenshawe neighbouring Altrincham, Sale and Stockport. The Greater Manchester Metrolink services this area on a very regular basis making it highly accessible all of Manchester as well as being situated near to the M56 motorway network. The school is a large mixed school with approximately 1200 students on roll.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
