Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching personnel have a number of graduate teaching assistant opportunities at various client Secondary Schools in South Manchester.

The role provides the opportunity for graduates looking to establish a career teaching with invaluable, hands on experience working within a variety of secondary schools in the South Manchester area.

The role allows for complete flexibility for successful applicants to select their own hours, whether you are looking for full or part time opportunities, Teaching Personnel are here to help you develop your career in teaching.

The primary duties of the role will include:

• Assisting teachers in various departments with setting up equipment, helping to prepare       lessons and marking
• Providing support for students who may be struggling academically, behaviourally, or pastorally
• Covering lessons with pre-set work provided by the class teacher

The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level, preferably  and is looking to get into a career within education. Previous work within schools is preferred but not essential; any work with children or young people with SEN outside of a school environment (i.e. youth clubs, sports coaching) is also favourable.

The role will be for immediate start, although it is subject to a DBS check, right to work UK authorisation so relevant documentation must be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
