Are you a Graduate looking to pursue a PGCE next September?

Are you looking for further experience working within a secondary school where you can lead lessons and build on classroom management?

Our client secondary school in the Worsley region of Salford is looking for a confident, pro-active Graduate to join them at the earliest convenience to work as a Cover Supervisor on a long term, full time basis. It is essential that the successful Graduate has some experience working with young people aged 11-16, and can engage students to stay on task during lessons.

Key highlights of the Cover Supervisor role:

  • Full time, long term opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school
  • Gain invaluable experience to prepare for a future in teaching and to support PGCE/teacher training applications
  • Build confidence within a classroom setting, and practice effective behaviour management strategies

The role of the Cover Supervisor is to deliver pre-set work and activities to students in the absence of the class teacher. There will not be expectations to plan and mark work, but the successful Cover Supervisor will be expected to work across all departments and age groups (Year 7 - Year 11).

The school is located in the Worsley region of Salford, and can easily be accessed via the A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the M60 Motorway. For those on public transport, there is a train station in Walkden that provides a walkway to the school. The school is also accessible from Leigh, Farnworth and Bury as local buses and trams run on a regular basis.

Further highlights of the cover supervisory position:

  • Earn up to £350 per week, dependent on previous experiences
  • Build CV and experience life 'teaching' in a school

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Graduate who is an aspirational teacher of the future as there is no better experience to get you ready for a role in education.

Please apply straight away for immediate consideration by submitting a full CV to the email address provided below;

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
