Graduate Teaching Assistants

Teaching Personnel currently wish to hear from Graduate Teaching Assistants that wish to gain working experience within a number of Wigan based secondary schools this academic year.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant working through Teaching Personnel you will have opportunities to gain invaluable experience in a number of key areas; Teaching, Support and Intervention.

Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • Full and Part-time roles available

  • Competitive pay rates with earning potential of up to ÂŁ1200 a month
  • Training and CPD opportunities also available
  • Immediate start dates available

Teaching Personnel are committed to the future development of our candidates and offer regular CPD training sessions to ensure that all candidates have the tools necessary to further develop.

Dependent on your chosen career path and aspirations we can support you with an introduction to roles in the following areas;

Teaching

Cover Supervisor positions where you will be able to gain invaluable classroom teaching experience delivering pre-set lessons to classes of students in the absence of the class teacher. Fully supported from Teaching Personnel and our partner schools this is the perfect preparation if you wish to pursue a career in teaching or are considering applying for a teacher training course in September 2019.

Support

Teaching Assistant roles where you may be tasked working alongside students with behaviour difficulties or SEN requirements. There will be opportunities to work closely with identified students supporting them with their learning and ensuring that they are able to make steady and regular improvements within school.

Intervention

Tuition and Intervention opportunities where you will be required to work alongside students who are in need of additional support in order to achieve their target grades. There will also be opportunities to lead small group catch-up sessions to pupils who will benefit from specialist support from a graduate with extensive subject specific knowledge.
