Graduate Teaching Assistant

Graduate teaching assistant required on a full-time basis for a client secondary school that is based in Bolton.

Our client secondary school wish to recruit a Graduate teaching assistant that is able to join the school from September 2019.

Graduates joining the school will ideally wish to pursue a career in teaching and will be required to provide support to staff and students within the school.

  • Graduate teaching assistant - Bolton
  • Full-time position starting in September 2019
  • Working within a supportive secondary school located close to the Bolton town centre.
  • Competitive Pay rates with earning potential of up to £1250 a month
  • Opportunity to gain classroom experience ahead of a teacher training course in September 2020.

Our client secondary school that is located in Bolton, close to Farnworth and the town centre now wish to appoint a Graduate who is able to provide classroom cover across the full subject range and support students on the lead up to their key GCSE examinations.

This Graduate teaching assistant role is a rare opportunity for a Graduate to become a key member of staff within the schools teaching faculty. It is a chance for someone to develop excellent classroom management skills and gain a clear understanding on what 'Outstanding' teaching practice should be ahead of completing a teacher training course in September 2020.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Providing classroom cover in the absence of the class teacher
  • Working closely with teaching staff to support students during the lesson
  • Providing tuition, intervention and small group catch up sessions

Our client secondary school holds a good reputation within the local community and is larger than average compared to other schools in the area, currently there is 917 pupils on roll.

The school is ideally located for staff members wishing to travel to the school from areas such as; Wigan, Salford, Bury and other areas in Manchester. Public transport links are of abundance and the school is located just a mile away from the train station.
