*Up to £70per day - dependant on qualifications, references and experience*

A Cardiff Secondary School with easy transport links including rail and bus for public transport users and an onsite car park for drivers are seeking degree level educated teaching assistants confident in supporting pupils for 2 roles starting ASAP. Alongside providing support in the mainstream school this school provides education for pupils that are in need of additional learning support.

This teaching assistant role consists of supporting secondary aged pupils across KS3 & KS4; successful candidates must be confident in academic support and able to engage young people in learning. Your personality will be a key factor to you being successful in this role, the school are looking for individuals that have the ability to build relationships quickly with a positive outlook on the challenges a school may throw at you. After a difficult couple of years due to COVID you must be able to provide a dynamic level of support which includes emotional and behavioural support.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated – Relevant experience also advantageous
  • Experience/interest supporting secondary aged pupils
  • Available 8:15 - 3:30pm Mon - Fri
  • Confident in academic and social support of pupils
  • Be able to Commit to a long term, full time placement
  • A resilient approach to pupils who may show signs of challenging behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
