Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching?

Join Teaching Personnel’s Future Teacher Programme to work as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for up to one academic year.

Upon completion of the programme, graduates will have the experience needed to progress on to a teacher training programme and will give a real insight into the working life of a teacher.

Working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant candidates will be involved in:

• Providing in class support across years 7 – 11.
• Assisting with lesson preparation and planning.
• Providing subject specialist intervention 1:1 and in small groups .
• Supervising whole classes in the short term absence of teachers.

Successful graduates will:

• Have experience working with secondary age students in a paid or voluntary capacity.
• Be a graduate of Maths, Science, English, Humanities or Languages.
• Have a genuine desire to pursue a career in teaching.
• Be available on a full time or part time basis from September 2021.
• Be located in Central or South Manchester.
• Have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
