Graduate Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate looking for a career in teaching?

If so, Teaching Personnel are seeking a Graduate to work within our client's secondary school in the Macclesfield area. The Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve supporting students within your specialist subject knowledge, opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, support special educational needs (SEN) students, and work with students who require behaviour support and small group / one to one tuition sessions.

With the new academic year underway, the SENCO within our client's secondary school is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to add extra support for their students and the teaching staff. The role will be preliminary supporting the year 7 students, helping them with the transition from primary to secondary school with additional support to other year groups within your specialist subject knowledge.

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant required ASAP
  • Working within a secondary school in Macclesfield
  • Competitive pay, paid on a weekly basis
  • Working hours: 08:30 - 16:30
  • Full time, temporary position

The secondary school have been graded 'Good' for their recent Ofsted rating and have an above average progress 8 score. Situated just off the A523, with a direct train link from central Manchester, it is easy to access the secondary school, especially in the morning rush hour.

The ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant will;

  • Have previous experience working with secondary school students
  • Have a degree with a good knowledge on the main core subjects (English, Maths and Science)
  • Have their own form of transport
  • Is available to work a full time Teaching Assistant role
  • Be looking to pursue a career in Teaching
