Are you expecting to graduate in 2024 and thinking about a career within Teaching?

We are seeking aspiring graduates with an interest in starting a career within education. Teaching Personnel’s Future Teachers programme.

Why was Future Teachers developed?

Teaching Personnel has partnered with schools across West Yorkshire, and across the country, to provide a programme of meaningful, paid, experience for graduates who are thinking about pursuing their initial teacher training. We aim to provide graduates with a thorough development programme, fixed 12-month employment and networking opportunities with potential employers and ITT providers. This programme was designed to increase the uptake of graduates into the profession, but more importantly to drive increased retention of Teachers both during and following their training year.

How does Future Teachers work?

You will embark on a 12-month position where you will be able to develop the essential skills required as an aspiring Teacher. You will have access to market leading development through partnered training providers and a bespoke training programme delivered by Best Practice Network. During these 12 months you will be exposed to a range of responsibilities and will be essential to the pupil’s development. Your role will include classroom TA support, 1:1/small group intervention, pupil mentoring SEN support. You will be fully immersed in school life and play a vital role in pupils’ development throughout the year. Teaching Personnel partners with several Initial Teacher Training providers to ensure that all Future Teachers graduates have a direct route through to their teaching qualifications. You will have the chance to create a network with both training providers and potential future employers.

What do you need to be considered?

There is no specific school-based experience required, however, candidates should be able to demonstrate their interest and passion for education. You will be required to hold an undergraduate degree. Due to varied placements subject specialisms will be discussed upon application to ensure most suitable placement. Positions are available throughout the year with the largest intake being in September.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
