Graduate Teaching Assistant Opportunity, Fleetwood, Lancashire (FY7)

A client primary school in the Fleetwood, Lancashire (FY7) are currently recruitng for a graduate teaching assistant to join their KS2 team on a full time basis starting in September 2023. The school are looking for a proactive Teaching Assistant, who has prior experience working with primary aged children, to support in their Year 5 and 6 classes, specifically in maths. The successful candidate will run interventions with groups of children to aid their progression and to encourage them to meet their expected levels. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the KS2 maths curriculum and will have prior experience supporting children’s learning within an education establishment.

The role is to work at a lovely, Lancashire primary school. The school are looking to improve their maths results next academic year so are putting support in place to encourage learning starting in the autumn term. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting small groups of children across KS2 through maths interventions.

This would be a great opportunity for the right graduate who is looking to develop their career in education.

  • Will be confident working with children in small groups and 1:1
  • Will be confident delivering maths interventions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
