The board of governors at a school in Blackburn are seeking to appoint a team of Graduate Teaching Assistants following the success of their current graduates during the 2018/2019 school year. The school is a highly successful 11-16 provision. As part of a cluster of Teaching Schools there is outstanding provision for staff learning and development. The intention of the position is to progress graduates onto the successful SCITT provision which is available through their partnership with Liverpool Hope University.

The position is for 12 months and includes a wide range of experiences. Starting the year as a general classroom TA you will have the opportunity to get to know the pupils and school routines. As you progress you will get the opportunity to lead in the classroom as a Cover Supervisor and delivering Intervention to small groups of targeted pupils. Towards the end of the year you may also have the opportunity to deliver some of your own lessons to full classes. All of this is supported by an experienced team of educators with a wealth of experience in Teaching and their specialist subject.
