Location: Taunton
Start dates: April 2026 or September 2026
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
What You’ll Be Doing
As a trainee teacher, you’ll become part of everyday school life, gradually building your responsibilities. You will:
- Support pupils in lessons and small group interventions
- Work alongside experienced teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons
- Develop behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- Track pupil progress and adapt learning to meet individual needs
- Create inclusive spaces where every pupil feels confident and supported
By the end of the programme, you’ll have the skills and experience needed to step confidently into a teaching role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
