Are you looking for further experience working within a school where you can lead lessons?
Our client secondary school in St Austell area are looking for a strong, confident graduate to join them to work as a cover supervisor on a long term, full time basis. This school are looking for a graduate who can exercise good behaviour management skills within the classroom and ensure students stay on task.
The successful cover supervisor should therefore be motivated and flexible to work across departments and have a real passion for working with young adults at secondary school age. The client is a SEN School and caters for pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviour
Key highlights of the Cover Supervisor role:
- Full time, long term opportunity to work within an SEN school environment
- Gain the ideal experience to set you up ready for a future in teaching and to support a PGCE application
- Network within an SEN School that is a key part of the local community and has links with other local schools
The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver already set work to students within a classroom setting. The successful cover supervisor won’t be expected to plan and mark within this role but will work across departments as the school require. There is also the possible opportunity to tutor students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis, further gaining invaluable experience of educating students within the school environment.
