Graduate Sports Coach 

Location: West Bromwich 

Start Date: Septmeber 2025 


Are you a recent Sports Science or Sports Coaching graduate eager to gain hands-on experience working in a secondary school setting?

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking an energetic and motivated Graduate Sports Coach to support schools in West Bromwich. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build your confidence in a classroom environment, develop transferable teaching skills and make a meaningful impact on students’ physical and personal development.

About the Role: 

This is an exciting pathway for individuals looking to pursue a career in education or youth sports development. You’ll work alongside experienced educators to support the delivery of lessons and school-wide activities, while also engaging students in a positive and structured learning environment. Whether leading small group sessions, supporting behaviour and engagement, or assisting in academic lessons, you’ll gain valuable experience working directly with young people aged 11–16.

Role Responsibilites: 

  • Support and motivate students in a general classroom settings

  • Lead and assist with physical activities, team sports and fitness programmes

  • Promote teamwork, discipline and positive behaviour

  • Provide tailored support to pupils to help them engage and succeed in lessons

  • Build positive relationships with students, staff and wider school community

  • Participate in school activities, clubs or enrichment opportunities

Role Requirements: 

  • A degree in Sports Science, Coaching, Physical Education or a related field

  • A passion for working with young people and encouraging physical activity

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Resilience, flexibility and a proactive attitude

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable (e.g. coaching, mentoring, youth work)

  • A willingness to learn and grow in an educational environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
