Are you a motivated graduate looking to kick-start your career in education, psychology, or child development? Teaching Personnel is recruiting for a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across schools in the Salford area.

You’ll work with students who may have needs such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia, moderate learning difficulties (MLD), and social or communication challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils who benefit from additional structure, patience, and tailored learning strategies.

Key Responsibilities

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will include:

  • Providing 1:1 support or small group interventions for students with SEN

We are seeking enthusiastic graduates with a passion for education and SEN:

  • A degree in any subject (Psychology, Education or related fields beneficial)
  • Strong interest in working with children with SEN / SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Experience with children (voluntary, coaching, tutoring, care work) is advantageous
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
