"We are looking for a number of graduate mentors who are experienced in supporting students aged 11 - 14 in any setting and looking to progress further into the education sector. The successful graduate mentors will be working alongside teaching and support staff at this highly supportive secondary school, providing support to students at KS3 in the main. Focussing primarily on the core subjects of Maths and English, any graduates with either relevant degree specialisms or a natural flare for Literacy and Numeracy and encouraged to show their interest"

Our client secondary school situated in Warrington is looking for graduate mentors to start with them following the Easter break. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain experience within a secondary school environment on a full time basis supporting students in the lower ability sets of Maths and English. The students that require further support have been identified as being behind their peers with regards attainment levels and as a result, funding has been allocated for a number of graduate mentors to work alongside these students for the period a term.

This is a full time support role for up to 4 confident and passionate graduates where there are numerous opportunities to continue supporting at the school in September aswell. The school also has an upper school and sixth form provision with the opportunity to support at this level if interested.

Supporting for the duration of summer term in the first instance, the successful graduate mentor will ideally have existing experience of working with individuals aged 11 - 14 in a previous setting. This experience could be from a prior role supporting at a secondary school or teaching/tutoring at a tutor club or any other relevant setting.

  • Full time graduate mentor required: April 23rd 2019 - July 2019 in the first instance
  • Provide support in Maths and English primarily
  • Prior experience is highly desirable of supporting and working with students aged 11 - 14
  • Highly supportive senior leadership team at this secondary school
  • Competitive pay rate dependent upon experience ranging between £60 - £90 per day

Any graduates who have degrees in Maths or English based subjects are highly encouraged to apply now as subject knowledge is a key aspect of this support role.

This secondary school is situated in the Warrington area fairly central making it highly accessible via the M6 and M56 motorway networks. For those travelling by public transport, the school is situated within a commutable distance from the central train station.
