Position: Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Start date: October 2025
Location: Durham (DH1 – DH9)
Contract: Full time (Temp to Perm)
Salary: £90-100 a day (Dependent on experience)
Are you a recent graduate eager to nurture and motivate young learners with genuine enthusiasm for education? Teaching Personnel seeks a Graduate Learning Support Assistant to collaborate effectively with educational teams and students. This position offers valuable hands-on teaching experience in schools throughout Durham.
Role responsibilities include:
- Establishing an encouraging and positive learning atmosphere that promotes development and enthusiasm
- Delivering group and individual student assistance
- Working alongside teachers to provide optimal educational support
- Applying and improving subject knowledge during your time in the classroom
Our ideal applicant has:
- A relevant degree, or equivalent (a bachelor’s degree in education is preferred but not essential)
- Previous experience in the classroom/supporting students (desirable but not essential)
- DBS check (or willing to apply)
- Ability to work as a collective and collaborate in a professional setting
- Strong communication skills
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
