Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Derby

Start Date: ASAP

  • Daily Rate: £55 - £70 Are you confident, flexible and outgoing?
  • Have you recently graduated with a degree classification of 2:2 or higher?
  • Are you seeking work ASAP?

If so, I am recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work across my client schools in Derby and Derbyshire. As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to cover pre prepared work in absence of the class teacher. Your main roles and responsibilities would be to ensure each class stayed on task and completed the work previously set by the absent teacher. You would be required to familiarise yourself with the schools behaviour and safeguarding policies and procedures.

As a Cover Supervisor you would have the opportunity to cover a variety of lessons, gaining experience within many subjects. Class sizes for secondary classes usually vary from 25 - 30 pupils so you would therefore have to be confident to lead the class appropriately, ensuring each student stays on task and completes the work required. You would then have to collect each pupils completed work at the end of each lesson for the teacher to receive it the next day.

As a supply Cover Supervisor working in Derby you would have the opportunity for day to day, short term and long term bookings. You therefore may be required to cover short time sickness up to maternity leave. Although the contract begins on a supply basis, there is always the opportunity for permanent positions for candidates who excel within the schools.

Benefits working as a Cover Supervisor for Teaching Personnel:

  • Competitive rates of pay: £ 55 - £70 per day
  • Refer a friend bonus*
  • Your own personal specialised consultant
  • Support through accessing CPD courses
  • Guaranteed Work Scheme (GWS)*

If you're therefore interested in this Cover Supervisor position and are seeking work in Derby please send an up to date CV and covering letter to Siobhan Pearson.
