Graduate Cover Supervisor

Here at Teaching Personnel I am currently looking to recruit day to day Cover supervisors and Teaching assistants. Due to the school closures I am expecting to be very busy around the Leeds area and currently looking for Graduates who want to work in Secondary schools throughout Leeds. I work in partnership with a number of schools across Leeds and Wakefield who require daily cover supervisors to help assist the pastoral team to make sure learning is completed as much as possible. You will be tasked with covering class lessons where pre-planned work is left by the class teacher. Your main role will be to make sure the classroom is managed and to make sure pupils are on task as much as possible. With a large range of differing schools, there will be a lot of different opportunities for you to build up your experience and also earn at the same time. Maybe you are not sure which career path you want to go down but always been interested in becoming a teacher? If so, this is the perfect role for you.

What I am looking for:

• degree qualified or currently studying (any subject will be considered)
• confidence to lead classes of up to 30 pupils
• youth based experience is desired but not essential
• someone who is able to follow instructions
• the ability to manage classroom behaviour
• someone who is punctual and reliable

Working as a cover supervisor through Teaching Personnel allows you to view a wide variety of secondary schools and settings while earning a very competitive salary alongside. You have the possibility to work up to 5 days a week if you so wish but we can be flexible around your current studies and commitments. A lot of our Graduate Cover Supervisors work alongside current part-time work or study. With the possibility to earn up to GBP350 per week, this is a great way to supplement your income. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
