Graduate Cover Supervisor
Macclesfield

Teaching personnel have an exciting opportunity for a graduate cover supervisor to join our successful and expanding partner school in Macclesfield. Graduates will be responsible for supervising whole classes in the absence of teachers across a variety of subjects and year groups. The Cover Supervisor will give instruction and teach the lesson, as provided by the teacher, and ensure students are on task and show a positive attitude towards learning.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven, hardworking individual who is able to use their own initiative and can relate to and establish an excellent rapport with students. This role is ideal for graduates who are thinking of progressing on to study a PGCE.

Our partner school is a successful expanding 11-16 school located in Macclesfield, Cheshire East. The school is smaller than average and has just over 500 pupils on roll serving a diverse community. The percentage of pupils whose first language is not English is below the national average however the percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals at any time during the past 6 years is 30.3% compared to the national average of 28.6%. The schools vision is to create an outstanding small school and a welcoming community where every child is loved and cared for. The Head Teacher welcomes any applications from indivudals who believe they can inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

Our partner schools plans to continues to grow each year, student numbers have risen dramatically meaning that they are now oversubscribed.95% of parents from students at our partner school say that they would recommend the Academy to a friend meaning that the school is highly reputable within the local community.
