Graduate Cover Supervisor for September 2019

On behalf of our client school, we are seeking to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join them on a part time basis from September 2019. The purpose of the role is to support the principal, staff and students ensuring the continual facilitation of learning when it is not possible for usual class teachers to be present. You will be responsible for delivering work set ensuring there is good pace to lessons, that students are engaged in their learning and meet the learning outcomes set by their usual teacher.

As a Cover Supervisor, you would be regarded as a permanent member of staff and would be expected to take on additional responsibilities of a teacher such as break and lunch time duties, liaising with the senior leadership team, be involved in report writing occasionally and support other school event such as open days, sports days and parents evenings.

The school is a forward thinking one and for such roles, is ideally looking to appoint ambitious graduates who have a genuine interest in a career in teaching. The school are keen to receive applications from curriculum subject graduates, in particular English, Maths, Science, Technology and Humanities. You should have prior experience working with children and/or possess strong interpersonal skills to ensure the smooth process of learning. It is pivotal that you have a good sense of humour and classroom presence and are able to build positive working relationships with staff and students alike.
