A single sex secondary school in the Tameside area is looking for a MFL teacher who is able to teach German to GCSE level. The focus is on German, with the timetable being weighted towards German at KS4 and a small amount of French at KS3. The school are specifically looking for an innovative MFL teacher who can engage with students of all abilities. Innovation and creative lessons are key so that students remain engaged and enjoy the subjects as choices for German have typically been high. Applications are encouraged from both NQTs and those with more teaching experience.
Highlights of this German teaching role in the main:
- Pay dependent upon experience and payscale: £23720 - £39406 (full time scale)
- Work within an excellent and highly reputable secondary school in the Tameside area
- Teach German up to KS4 on a part time basis; ideally 3-4 days per week
- Open vacancy for a part time MFL teaching position starting in September
The school has an ethos of honesty, pride and a student centric approach to school life. They are therefore looking for a teacher who can encompass these values and put the students at the forefront of their teaching. The successful teacher of Modern Foreign Languages will benefit from a highly supportive MFL department and Senior Leadership Team. The focus as mentioned is on teaching German to GCSE level with the uptake of languages at this school being sustained at a high level.
The school is an average sized secondary school with approximately 950 - 1000 students on roll and is highly regarded in the local community.
The school is located in the Tameside area, easily accessible from the surrounding area as well as those teachers living in the Greater Manchester area. The school is easily accessible via public transport with local trams and buses servicing the school well. The local train station is a very short walk away from this school being serviced by trains from the city centre of Manchester and further afield.
If you are a qualified teacher able to teach German, apply now with your latest CV and a short covering statement for immediate consideration. The school are looking to hold informal interviews and meetings with relevant German teachers over the course of the next 2 - 3 weeks so please make your availability known on your application.
