Geography Teacher - Salford

Are you an experienced Geography teacher looking for your next role? Do you want to work in an Ofsted graded 'Good' academy in Salford?

Due to a recent internal promotion at our client school in Salford, Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Geography to start from September 2019. This is a great opportunity to join a hard working department within a successful secondary school. The post itself is initially on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year, however there is a permanent gap in the department for the perfect candidate.

  • Full time Geography Teacher post from September 2019
  • Contract until July 20202 initially, with an opportunity for a permanent contract
  • Teaching Geography up to GCSE level
  • Smaller than average academy, rated 'Good' by Ofsted in 2016
  • Pay in line with MPS (£23,720-£39,406)

Our client secondary school is located in the Media City area of Salford, and is currently the school of choice to fewer than 900 students with the school set to expand in the near future. The school moved to their state of the art campus in 2012, giving students access to high quality facilities throughout which in turn provides a high standard learning environment. The school is a short walk away from a tram stop, and is easily accessible from Manchester city centre.

The Humanities department at our client school are looking to recruit a full time Geography Teacher, capable of teaching both KS3 and KS4 Geography. Excellent knowledge and passion for the subject are highly desirable traits of prospective candidates. The Head of Faculty is keen on the sharing of resources and collaborative planning to ensure teaching is to the highest standard, as well as reducing the workload of the department.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Geography Teacher, please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
