Teaching personnel re working with a secondary school on the west side of Southampton who are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of geography starting September 2020. The role would be on a full time basis however part time applicants are also open to apply on a job share scenario basis.

The role will be suitable for newly qualified or experienced teachers who are capable of teaching up to KS4. The successful candidate will share the schools aspirations and beliefs in the limitless potential of every young person they serve. If you share this moral imperative, the school would welcome an application from you.

This school is a vibrant and dynamic learning community, teaching from KS3 up to KS4. This is an exciting time to join as the school has expanded meaning there will be opportunities of progression in all departments!

The successful candidate will be joining a team which listens and supports all staff as reflected within the latest Ofsted visit which stated “Leaders listen keenly to the regular feedback they receive from parents, carers, staff and pupils. They keep the community well informed of their strategies to improve the school. As a result, staff feels listened to and parents and pupils are very positive about school and the education it provides”.

Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) are encouraged to apply, the school have a fantastic NQT program which is orientated around supporting you and helping you continually develop as a teacher and aid you in your career progression.

The successful teacher will:

  • Hold a UK recognised teaching qualification in either Secondary of FE.
  • Hold a UK recognised degree in a relevant subject.
  • Have the desire to succeed in the Teaching profession.
  • Available for a January 2020 start date.

The school are looking to interview for the role as soon as possible. All applicants will be considered and interviews arranged on application.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
