Geography Teacher required to cover maternity leave

If so, I am working on behalf of a client school in the Lytham area who are seeking a Teacher of Geography to cover a maternity leave within the department from January 2018. This role will involve the teaching of Geography to KS3/4 students and will run through until the end of the academic year. You will be responsible for the planning and marking of students work and also attending any whole school/ departmental meetings.

The school is a smaller than average sized secondary school with around 790 students on roll and offers students 5 one hour lessons a day. In 2014 the school were graded as 'Good' by Ofsted and in a recent section 48 inspection it was noted that the school has maintained and further developed its outstanding status for overall effectiveness and clearly demonstrated improvements. This is a catholic secondary school, although Teachers do not have to be practicing catholics themselves they are expected to help uphold the catholic ethos within school and remain respectful of the faith at all times.



To apply for this role you MUST have:



- Valid UK PGCE with QTS in secondary Geography (QTS is not always essential but desirable)



- Recent experience teaching KS3/4 Geography



- Valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
