Supply Teacher – Stanley
Reception to Year 6 | Flexible Work | Full & Half Days Available

Teaching Personnel are looking to welcome motivated and adaptable Qualified Teachers (QTS) to our supply teaching pool in Stanley and the nearby areas. If you enjoy variety in your week, value work–life balance, and love teaching across different primary stages, this role could be a great fit.

About the Role

As a supply teacher with Teaching Personnel, you’ll have the flexibility to choose which year groups you’d like to work with—from Reception through to Year 6. You will support local primary schools with both short-term cover and longer ongoing placements, helping to maintain a positive learning environment when regular class teachers are unavailable.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking teachers who are:

  • Fully Qualified Teachers (QTS essential)
  • Skilled in teaching EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
  • Confident, adaptable, and able to quickly settle into new classrooms
  • Strong communicators with effective behaviour management
  • Willing to travel to various primary schools (own transport preferred)
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality learning experiences

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons or follow set plans provided by the school
  • Create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Mark work when required, depending on the booking
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection
  • Communicate clearly with school staff and leadership teams

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
