Geography Teacher

This opportunity is ideal for a teacher seeking a new challenge within the Geography department of a secondary school.

• Full-time Geography teacher.
• Required ASAP.
• Teaching across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.
• Paid to teaching scale point (GBP25,714 - GBP41,604).

Our client secondary school is based in Salford and can be accessed via the M62 and A580 from surrounding areas including Bolton, Prestwich and Trafford. For candidates who do not drive, the school can also be easily accessed via public transport from the neighbouring areas of Salford.

The school has around 800 pupils on roll and has recently been refurbished with modern facilities and technology in every classroom. Some pupils have been known to show signs of challenging behaviour in the past however, the school has recently implemented a new behaviour policy and this has been reflected in its climb in performance tables. Any previous experience with behaviour management will be transferrable to this role.

The incoming teacher will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver differentiated Geography lessons to meet the needs of pupils at varying levels of learning ability. The successful candidate will be given full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience teaching Geography up to GCSE level alongside a teaching qualification and QTS.
