A secondary school in South Manchester is looking for a Geography teacher who is available to join them for a term’s supply work starting in September. This well known school is located in the South of Manchester close to Wythenshawe, Altrincham and the Manchester/Trafford border, requires an excellent classroom practitioner to cover a pending open vacancy within this supportive Humanities department. The successful Geographer is required for a term in the first instance with opportunity to progress onto a school based contract if successful.  

This is a full time teaching position on a supply basis which will involve planning and marking as well as form tutor duties. The timetable will consist of both KS3 and KS4. GCSE classes (primarily year 10) with the school following the AQA syllabus. The school are accepting applications from teachers of all experience levels including those who will be newly qualified in September.

The school specifically doesn’t want an over-bearing teacher of Geography but someone who can follow the schools policies and procedures and teach engaged students.

The school boasts excellent facilities and is in the South of Manchester close to Altrincham and Wythenshawe. For those living in the city centre or nearby, they can travel to the school via public transport very easily by bus or tram. For those Geography teachers who drive, you will be able to get to the school very easily as the M60 and M56 motorway networks.
