Geography Teacher – South Manchester – September 2025 Start

Are you a Geography Teacher ready to inspire and challenge learners in a high-performing school?

A well-regarded secondary school in South Manchester is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to become permanent depending on performance.

The school promotes high expectations and academic rigour while supporting staff wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching KS3 and KS4 Geography (with some opportunities for KS5 depending on experience)

• Preparing engaging lesson plans aligned with the national curriculum

• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to assessment and feedback processes

• Collaborating with the wider Humanities team on curriculum planning

Requirements:

• UK QTS or equivalent with experience in secondary teaching

• Strong subject knowledge and ability to deliver engaging lessons

• Excellent classroom management skills

• A team player with a commitment to school values

Package:

• £150 - £210 per day depending on experience

• Full departmental support and ongoing CPD

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
