Geography Teacher

Geography (with Geology) Teacher needed in Nelson School

• Successful college with excellent KS5 provision
• Excellent location on the M65
• negotiable pay rates depending on experience

A school in the Nelson area are seeking a Geography Teacher as a matter of Urgency.

This is a temporary position from Monday 8th January until Friday 23rd March 2018, working approximately 18 hours per week over 4/5 days. For an Outstanding candidate the school would potentially look to extend the position through to the end of the academic year.

Successful candidates will be required to teach:

o A-Level Geography Year 1 and 2, Edexcel Syllabus - new spec (23 students in the class)

o Geography workshops to further assist students who are struggling or those that need to improve their grades

o Tutorials (A-Levels and My Project (EPQ))

The college are also looking for someone who is able to support their Geology department. With support from the department they would be looking for a teacher to deliver:

o A-Level Geology Year 2, OCR Syllabus which requires ISA practical requirement for year 2 students - final year of legacy spec (12 students in the class)

o Geology workshops to further assist students who are struggling or those that need to improve their grades
