Science Graduate Learning Mentors – A South London Secondary Academy – October start!

Are you a graduate in one of the three main branches of science, with either a first or upper second class honours degree?

Have your experiences of working with children fuelled your desire to become a future teacher of science?

Are you able to put your specialist knowledge of science to good effect by increasing attainment in secondary school pupils?

***Science Graduate Subject Mentor/Teaching Assistant

***1st or 2:1 Degree in Physics, Chemistry or Biology

***Birmingham Secondary School

***Starts Sep/Oct 2016

***£50-65 per day

My client school, located in South London, has approached TP for the recruitment of a number of Graduate Learning Mentors/Teaching Assistants for their core subjects. Included in this is the need for two high calibre science graduates, ideally with excellent degrees, from the country’s best universities, in physics, chemistry or biology.

The school is a large modern secondary with specialisms in science and technology. It’s home to pupils from a range of backgrounds and cultures so any potential graduate must be comfortable in a multi-cultural environment. The school caters for pupils between the ages of 11 and 19 with over 250 pupils in the Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Sixth Form College.

The school has a relatively new senior leadership team that are continually looking at ways to improve pupils experience during there time there as well as improving GCSE results. In order to help departments, improve students’ attainment the school successfully utilise science graduates to great effect.

As a Science Graduate Subject Mentor you will work closely with the lead teacher in supporting pupils in physics, biology and chemistry.

If interested, please apply by sending your CV to thomas.hayes@teachingpersonnel.com today or alternatively contact Thomas on 02075933077!!
