Art & Design teacher Manchester

Well regarded North Manchester secondary looking for suitably qualified Art & Design teacher for September post

Our client school is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Art teacher with a track record of delivering excellent results across KS3 and KS4 by delivering engaging lessons with encourage pupil progress. The school has no preference in levels of expertise and experienced Art & Design teachers and those who are newly or recently qualified are welcomed to apply within.

Due to restructuring of the Art & Design department at our client school, there is a need for an Art & Design teacher to join an innovative department with high uptake at GCSE due to excellent facilities and stimulating lessons. The school is larger than most secondaries, with over 1200 students enrolled currently, with the expectancies of 1350 to be on roll next academic year. The school is a mixed comprehensive academy which was formerly two single sex sites, but has seen a drastic rise in attainment since the merging. The school recently appointed a new Head and since has seen school wide changes result in improvements in teaching and learning along with the behaviour and safety of students.

Requirements of this post as an Art & Design teacher;

** QTS or relevant teaching based qualification

** Experience delivering a high calibre of lesson in Art & Design to 11-16 year olds

** A desire to raise attainment and ‘Narrow the gap’
