  • Work in a range of Secondary Schools and Academies across Leeds
  • Daily pay rates of up to £80 (depending on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working with a range of Secondary Schools and Academies across Leeds and wider West Yorkshire and require regular Cover Supervisors to lead classes in the absence of teachers.

The role involves supervising full classes and delivering work (which has already been planned and set by the department) in a range of subjects, managing behaviour and gaining the respect of students. You will work in a range of schools but with regular bookings in them so the opportunity to build up an understanding of these schools and their behaviour policies.

This role is ideal for recent graduates who are looking to apply for a PGCE/teacher training in the future as it will give you direct experience of leading a full class and a solid understanding of working in a Secondary School environment. You must have some related experience of working with young people, whether you have volunteered in a school, assisted at a youth centre etc.

Daily pay rates are up to £80 per day (depending on experience levels) and payroll runs weekly. Teaching Personnel also offer a Guaranteed Work Scheme which ensures you receive regular work each week. You will have access to a range of CPD training courses through a range of organisations including Leeds Trinity University which will develop your skills further and boost your future teacher training applications.

These roles are available to recent graduates as well as more experienced education professionals looking for a new challenge. You must be flexible, reliable, have excellent communication skills and good interaction with pupils (including behaviour management). A subject specialism is preferred but not essential.

All candidates registering with Teaching Personnel are subject to full vetting and reference checks.
