Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a general Cover Supervisor to start at the end of September. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching.

About the role:

  • Start date: 29th September
  • Ongoing/long-term
  • Competitive daily pay rates

As a general Cover Supervisor, you will work with both KS3/4 and across all subjects. In the absence of the class teacher, you will ensure all work is delivered and completed to a high standard, whilst maintaining good behaviour. When necessary, you will follow the school’s behaviour policies, ensuring any incidents are reported correctly.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with young people (in any setting)
  • Ability to confidently supervise lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for working with young students
  • Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel
  • No specific subject knowledge or prior teaching experience is necessary

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
