Job Title: GCSE Tutor
Location: South East England, Kent, Gillingham
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £25 - £25 Per hour
Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one tutoring to GCSE students in various subjects, including Maths, English, and Science.
- Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
- Assess students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations by focusing on exam techniques and revision methods.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential.
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.
Experience:
- Proven experience in tutoring GCSE students.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage learners.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field.
- Experience in preparing students for GCSE examinations.
Working Conditions:
- Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions.
- Work closely with students in a classroom or online setting.
- May require travel to students' homes or educational institutions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
