Job Title: GCSE Tutor

Location: South East England, Kent, Gillingham

Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £25 - £25 Per hour

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one tutoring to GCSE students in various subjects, including Maths, English, and Science.
  • Develop tailored lesson plans and teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Assess students' progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations by focusing on exam techniques and revision methods.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred but not essential.

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in tutoring GCSE students.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage learners.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent understanding of the GCSE curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field.
  • Experience in preparing students for GCSE examinations.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours with flexibility in scheduling tutoring sessions.
  • Work closely with students in a classroom or online setting.
  • May require travel to students' homes or educational institutions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
