My secondary school clients are requiring 'Cover supervisors' to work on a daily basis throughout school assisting with cover lessons across a range of subjects.

The role of a cover supervisor:

• Deliver pre-planned work to the class - across a range of subjects
• Be punctual, confident and enthusiastic - be proactive throughout the classroom
• Have a specific subject knowledge and flexible and comfortable to assist across other subjects
• Adhere to the behaviour and reward policy of the specific school

If you are serious about becoming a Secondary school teacher, this is the role for you. It will allow you to view a range of different school settings and create that solid foundation on which to build on when you decide to start your teacher training. Research has shown that aspiring teachers that gain experience before starting their teacher training are much better prepared.
