Job description

Teaching Personnel's Future Teacher Programme was created to assist those graduates considering beginning a teacher training course. This programme provides graduates with the opportunity to gain further school based experience prior to beginning a PGCE or SCITT programme.

We are currently recruiting for Graduates across schools in the Nottingham area. Applicants must hold a degree and be looking to pursue a career in education. We are particularly interested in Graduates of Maths, Science, English, Psychology and PE.

What is our Future Teachers Programme?

The Future Teachers Programme is designed to help address the teacher shortages across England & Wales by attracting and supporting bright graduates who are considering a career in teaching, but wish to gain practical experience before enrolling in formal teacher training.

How does it work?

Successful graduates who begin our Future Teachers programme will take on the responsibility of a Cover Supervisor within one of our client schools, whereby you will be required to support pupils within your subject specialism department. As a Cover Supervisor you will have the opportunity to gain experience in front a class and leading lessons, giving you a good understanding as to the role of a teacher. Tasks and activities will also benefit your subject knowledge as you will focus on raising pupil attainment, supporting special needs pupils, covering classes, assisting with the planning and preparation of lessons and delivering small group tuition sessions.

This is a paid opportunity whereby you will have the opportunity to earn up to GBP1200 per month whilst learning and building the skill set required to begin your teacher training course.
