Position: SEN Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Clapton, East London
Start Date: After October Half Term

Application Requirements:

Please note that to be considered for this role, you must be a fully qualified teacher (QTS) and hold a current, enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

The Role:

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, personalised lessons to a class of pupils with a range of complex needs, which may include Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Your role will be pivotal in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where every student feels safe, valued, and empowered to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes.
  • Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Planning lessons
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and SENCO.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Build strong, communicative relationships with parents and carers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • A Fully Qualified Teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experienced in an SEN setting, with a proven track record of supporting pupils with complex learning needs.
  • In possession of an enhanced DBS check that is on the Update Service, or willing to apply for a new one immediately.
  • An exceptional communicator with empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for SEN education.
  • Resilient, proactive, and a fantastic team player.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
